HOW TO GET MY ITIC CARD?

The fastest and most economical way to get your card is through this website, by filling the online card request form:

1. Fill in your personal details.
2. Upload the requested documents.

In a few minutes you can enjoy your Virtual Card and, if you ask for the plastic version of the card, it will arrive at your address in a few days.

You can also get your card from an Issuing Office. There are card issuings that are immediate! Check all the physical points of sale here and make sure you take all the necessary elements with you.

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR AN ITIC CARD?

To request the ITIC card we will ask you for some personal data (first and last name, name of the educational institution, date of birth, email and address). In addition to this data, you must also upload the following documents in digital format:

1. Proof that you are a teacher (with your name, educational establishment and school year);
2. Proof of your date of birth (Id, Citizen Card or Passport);
3. Passport photo - jpeg format, colour face photography, with neutral background and without accessories that cover the face, like hats and sunglasses.

To issue your card in Portugal we need you to prove that you are Portuguese, live in Portugal or that you teach in an educational institution recognized by the Portuguese Ministry of Education.

HOW MUCH DOES AN ITIC CARD COST?

In Portugal the cost of the ITIC card is 10 Euros, in its virtual version. If you prefer to receive your ITIC card also in plastic format you will have to pay the shipping that have an additional cost depending on the method of shipment requested.

WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF AN ITIC CARD?

The validity of the standard ITIC is 12 months from the date of issue.

HOW CAN I PAY MY ITIC CARD?

When you're done with the card application, don't forget to pay for your card.

You can pay in three ways:

• ATM (Bank Reference);
• Credit Card;
• Bank Transfer - If you choose to make a bank transfer, to effect your card request you must send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or upload in "My Card" area the following details:
  • Proof of payment;
  • Name of payment account holder.

The ITIC is issued when all necessary documents and data have been submitted and as soon as the payment is identified in our bank account, which, depending on the banks, may take between 1-2 business days.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ITIC CARD?

We have different shipping methods, with different times and costs:

• Virtual format, less than 24 working hours.
• Shipping plastic version of your card by simple registered mail, delivery in 2-3 business days, shipped to addresses in Mainland Portugal and Islands.

We warn you that we do not send cards abroad. Physical cards can only be sent to addresses in Mainland Portugal and Islands.

IMPORTANT:

The treatment and printing of your card takes place on the business day we receive your payment, within our opening hours, provided that the payment is identified in our account by 3:00 pm.
In case you need the card urgently, we recommend that you request the card at one of the Issuing Offices or in advance for the date you need the card.
Please make sure that you enter all information and your complete address correctly, including door number and floor. If there is a problem with your registration, please contact us immediately. If you do not inform us, we will process incorrect data and your card will be issued and your request non-refundable.
